The Indus Waters Treaty Dialogue 2026 is a one-day policy dialogue convened by Tiesverse Foundation at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on 19 September 2026.
The event examines the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), India's decision to place the Treaty in abeyance after the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, and the relationship between treaty cooperation, security and transboundary water governance.
The dialogue brings together jurists, water-resource engineers, security scholars and diplomats to examine India's decision as a lawful and measured response to treaty bad faith and state-sponsored violence.
